Michael Geist is an Ottawa law professor with the right attitude towards copyright issues. Bill C-60 makes it illegal for consumers to make personal copies of material for which they have already paid for that right by means of the thieving “media levy” (which forced me to pay a bunch of record companies for the right to put my family photos on a CD). With laws like this it won’t be long before the Law as a whole loses its moral authority and is supported only by force.
