Engage Big Donors With Big Ideas: Dare to Dream! with Kay Sprinkel Grace

Session Description:

At the heart of your vision, you need to have a dream. So much of our marketing and outreach is based on our needs, rather than our impact.

As a sector, we don’t fundraise because we have needs, we fundraise because we meet needs. Our sector is all about solutions — so let’s stop focusing on problems and talk about results.

  • Is “getting back to zero” (balancing your budget) considered an achievement?
  • When was the last time you spent time in your organisation thinking and dreaming about what would be possible if you had a really big investor on your team?
  • Do your materials project a vision of what your community can become if you have the resources to do what you dream of doing?

Donors invest in dreams and in impact. The “same old, same old” character of much of our fundraising messaging is not reaching today’s donors — no matter their age. They are impatient for results. They want to feel like a partner for positive change — and we can help them become engaged that way if we take a long look at our materials and messages and ask ourselves if they are tempting to someone who is wanting to make a huge investment in their community.

Kay Sprinkel Grace has planned a provocative, inspiring, intelligent and useful webinar — and will leave each participant with a new sense of the possibilities that await if we have the courage to think big. Kay will share stories of organizations large and small who dared to dream — with fantastic results.
