I am proposing that this Chapter not focus just on multiplication (though that will occupy the bulk of its effort), but actually include everything about the geometric (real, measurement) number system.
If this idea is accepted, then the first module of this chapter should deal with introduction to the idea – which might include some of what may be in Peter’s existing rough draft for Ch1 (but not the stuff on arithmetic algorithms for whole numbers and place value) as well as the current Module 1 for Ch2 (which is relatively brief compared to the drafts of Module 2)
