Here we look at the experience of a human falling feet-first into a Schwarzschild black hole. The black hole may be sufficiently large that tidal forces are negligible at the event horizon, but the key quantity whose effect we will address is the gravitational red shifts for signals between and within parts of the body. These will be found in terms of the local red-shift-per-meter in the radial direction which is shown in Lemma 1 to be given in terms of the schwarzschild radial coordinate.
