{"id":1348,"date":"2011-04-09T20:47:03","date_gmt":"2011-04-10T03:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qpr.ca\/blogs\/?p=1348"},"modified":"2011-04-09T20:47:03","modified_gmt":"2011-04-10T03:47:03","slug":"creationism-at-the-royal-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qpr.ca\/blogs\/2011\/04\/09\/creationism-at-the-royal-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Creationism at the Royal Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/science\/2008\/sep\/14\/religion\">This<\/a> would be old news but for the fact that the Royal Society&#8217;s president at the time was Martin Rees &#8211; who might now be seen by some as finally getting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/science\/for-the-love-of-god-scientists-in-uproar-at-1631m-religion-prize-2264181.html\">his reward<\/a> for letting it happen. \u00a0On the other hand, Rees does seem genuinely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/science\/2011\/apr\/06\/astronomer-royal-martin-rees-interview\">bemused<\/a> about the award so perhaps, in <em>his<\/em> mind at least, there is no connection.
