If there was anything that had <em>all<\/em> the characteristics and (in principle completely predictable &#8211; or at least explainable) behaviours and responses of a human, then anyone (other than the solipsistic philosopher himself) might be not &#8220;really&#8221; conscious. The alternative is that we all are conscious but that what we perceive as conscious experience is just the physical property of recording memories into a system with some kind of recall and reprocessing mechanism. And if I think about it too much, that&#8217;s pretty much what if &#8220;feels like&#8221; to me &#8230;..
