Broker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roger Pielke Jr. belies his blog title with his claim in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/rogerpielkejr.substack.com\/p\/russells-teapot-and-the-climate-unicorn\">this recent post<\/a> <\/em>that<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>the IPCC has concluded that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rogerpielkejr.substack.com\/p\/what-the-ipcc-actually-says-about\" rel=\"\">connections of carbon dioxide emissions and most types of extreme weather<\/a>\u00a0are \u201cin a state of high uncertainty, doubt, or incompleteness.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The quoted section is <strong><em>not<\/em><\/strong> from IPCC\u2019s own conclusions but from an expression of concern about how a certain way of expressing them might be misinterpreted, and the link provided to support that claim is not to IPCC directly but to Pielke\u2019s own piece alleging that IPCC results do lead to that conclusion. It would have been more honest to rephrase the claim as \u201cI have suggested that IPCC results do lead to the conclusion that most types of extreme weather are \u2018in a state of high uncertainty, doubt, or incompleteness\u2019\u201d.
