This page contains a java applet to draw 3d graphs (e.g
y=x^2+y^2) and
allow you to rotate the function.
It's really fun to play with these 3d surfaces and to see how do they
look
like, because the pictures on the book are not clear enough and they
sometimes use level curves instead
All the functions that can be generated by this applet have pre-selected
boundaries and constants, so you don't have to spend 5 minutes fiddling
around to get a good fit and see how cool the function is capable of
being.
Some of the functions may seem backwards, but they simply have a negative
constant somewhere, to make them look prettier.
