Module 2 – Functions
2.2 – Symmetry and Transformation of Graphs of Functions
We have already seen that having the graph of a function allows us to
quickly estimate its values and behaviours such as whether its output
will increase or decrease when the input is changed. In this section we
look at some techniques which will help you to sketch and understand
function graphs. These include the use of symmetry, and recognizing how
the graph of a given function might be related to a simpler or better
known one.
