ARNOVA 2011

The ARNOVA international conference convenes the research community from around the world on non-profit and philanthropic studies.

This year for the first time, the conference was held in Toronto. Presenters spoke on themes of diversity in philanthropy and social enterprise among many others.  Attendees came from Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and North America.

What is the opportunity to bridge from new scholarly research to the world of non profits professionals working everyday to create and fund vital programs?

Council for Resource Development Annual Conference 2011

This was a wonderful conference as usual. This year we stayed the extra day and attended the Benefactor’s Banquet Friday evening.

The highlight for me was the panel presentation on Asian American Giving on Education. Andrew Ho from the Council on Foundations presented on research that has been done with regard to giving trends in various Asian American communities. Richard Morley CFRE shared his positive experiences in building bridges between his college and the local Asian American community.
