PM&MD: Counting Numbers

I am suggesting that rather than using this Chapter to combine an introduction to the idea of geometric numbers with material on the place value system for whole numbers, we instead use it just for whole number material – and perhaps a brief comment on the usual non-geometric introduction to fractions.
